Set sail from La Paz, a quiet and small city in Mexico.
Sailing La Paz is the perfect destination to get away from it all. Literally translating to “peace,” La Paz lives up to its name.
The city is tranquil and charming, but filled with plenty to see, with the beachfront malecón and abundance of restaurants and bars.
The real attractions are the 900 islands on the Gulf of California, that are filled with fantastic flora and fauna. The Sea of Cortez is home to parrot fish, mahi-mahi, trigger, sea turtles, large manta rays, dolphins, and many types of whales.

Isla Espiritu Santo has been a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site since 2005 and a National Park since 2007. In it you will find an impressive scenic beauty; the contrast between sea and desert, rock formations of volcanic origin, numerous virgin beaches, as well as a great quantity of endemic flora and fauna.

There are 32 species of reptiles, 98 species of birds, several species of marine mammals and 16 endemic species. In this island complex there are also important sites with archaeological remains of the Pericú indigenous group.
Candelero Beach is a small inlet that is located on the west coast of Espíritu Santo Island, south of the separation with Isla La Partida.

It is characterized by being part of a mountain chain that penetrates into the sea, which gives rise to a series of rocky islets that stand out in the water until they end in a large islet.

The shallow waters of a brilliant turquoise color, the tropical fish, the white sand and the reddish cliffs that surround El Candelero, create a spectacular landscape that anyone who visits this wonderful corner of South California will fall in love with.

In this beautiful cove we can find an area of mangroves, a dry waterfall, wild fig trees and an incredible hanging rock. Also, near the paradisiacal beach there are two sandbanks, being the one to the northeast is a fabulous place to camp.

An ideal experience for nature lovers, where you can enjoy different ecotourism activities such as kayaking, diving, snorkeling, paddle boarding, walking through desert trails, taking impressive photographs or simply contemplate a majestic sunset.

Considered as the most unique beach in La Paz, Ensenada Grande on Isla Espirito Santo is only accessible by boat.

Ensenada Grande offers the most private beach experience in La Paz.
The Travel Magazine has dubbed Ensenada Grande as "absurdly beautiful" and swimming in its water is like "swimming in a bottle of Curacao."

Prepare yourself for 14 miles of crystal clear water, sandy beaches and pure tranquility.

This natural beauty is like swimming in a pool, with crystal clear water, white sand and a perfect climate to spend an unforgettable adventure.

Possibly one of the most magical places at the Sea of Cortez, Ensenada Grande beach is located on Partida Island, which is connected with Espiritu Santo Island.

Miles of pristine white sand, clear water which glistens from the beaming sun above and perfect swimming conditions due to the security of the bay from the open sea.

You can walk from one side of the bay to the other. When the tide starts to reside in the afternoon, the bay is even shallower and small sand islands start to appear. For the best views of Balandra Beach and the bay, climb one of the surrounding hills.

You can also spend your day exploring the shallow waters, quiet coves and mangroves in Balandra Bay. Explore the Bay of La Paz or remote beaches by gliding over the tranquil, warm waters of the Sea of Cortez with your stand-up paddle board.

The tranquility, peace and connection with nature that Balandra Beach offers you is undoubtedly unique, which is why it can be considered as an ideal beach.
