01What makes YACHTSMX different in La Paz?

YACHTSMX is a yacht owner-operator based at Marina Cortez in La Paz — not a broker. We own and crew our own fleet for private Sea of Cortez charters to Isla Espíritu Santo, Isla Partida and Balandra, plus multi-night expeditions. That means direct accountability, certified local captains and no middleman markup.

02Is YACHTSMX a local company in Los Cabos?

Yes. YACHTSMX has operated from a Cabo office at Merkado Local 13, San José del Cabo since our 2019 expansion, running day charters to El Arco, Santa María Bay snorkeling and golden-hour sunset cruises along the Cabo San Lucas corridor — with bilingual, locally based crews.

03Is YACHTSMX the boat operator or a broker?

YACHTSMX is the operator. We and our affiliate YATESMEXICO® own and run the fleet directly with our own crews and marina slips in La Paz (Marina Cortez L04) and Cabo (Merkado Local 13) — no broker, no middleman markup and direct accountability for every charter.

YACHTSMX operates from two home marinas in Baja California Sur: La Paz (Marina Cortez, head office) for Sea of Cortez and Espíritu Santo charters, and San José del Cabo for Cabo San Lucas day and sunset cruises. We also arrange Vallarta charters and multi-night Sea of Cortez voyages.

06Is it safe to sail the Sea of Cortez with YACHTSMX?

Yes. Our captains know La Paz, Espíritu Santo and the Cabo corridor intimately. Prime season runs October through June with calm seas, and charters adjust for weather year-round. Every trip is fully insured, licensed and supported by a bilingual concierge from first message to final goodbye.
