When is gray whale season in Baja?+
Gray whales are in the Baja California Sur lagoons from January through April, with peak mother-and-calf activity in February and March. The expedition runs seasonally during these months.
How long is the flight from Cabo?+
The private flight is about 60 to 75 minutes each way, compared to a 6 to 8 hour drive. The full experience is a same-day round trip, returning to Cabo airport around 5:00 PM.
Can you really touch the whales?+
In the López Mateos sanctuary the whales are famously curious and often approach the boats on their own. Friendly contact happens at the whales’ initiative, always within the rules of the protected sanctuary and guided by certified local experts.
